About this opportunity

The Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH) is developing a pre-qualified list of bilingual (English and American Sign Language) and bicultural individuals to serve as temporary, short-term (up to 12 months) Case Managers or Children Specialists for deaf and hard of hearing adults and children in Massachusetts. The temporary assignments require advanced intermediate or higher American Sign Language skills, along with other qualifications such as experience in case management, counseling, or related human services fields. The selected individuals will be responsible for providing case management, referrals, and support services to the deaf and hard of hearing population in the state. The Request for Response (RFR) is open to individual applicants on a rolling basis until the end of the contract period, which extends through June 2029. Compensation will be at an hourly rate commensurate with the contractor's experience and consistent with Commonwealth pay scales, and travel-related expenses will be reimbursed.

This procurement is a Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) set-aside, restricted to SBPP-verified businesses unless adequate SBPP capacity is not available. The estimated value of the contract is below $150,000, so a Supplier Diversity Program Plan is not required. MCDHH encourages individual applicants, including those with disabilities, to apply for these temporary case management positions serving the deaf and hard of hearing population in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
