About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids on Carhartt work pants for Mountain View Correctional Facility, with bids due March 26, 2010.
The scope consists of 40 pairs of Carhartt work pants across multiple sizes, ranging from 30×32 to 50×28, with the heaviest demand in mid-range sizes (36×32, 38×32, 42×30, 42×32, and 44×30). A completed Code of Conduct Affidavit signed and notarized by an authorized bidder representative is a mandatory condition of bid eligibility.
Bids must be submitted as sealed responses or through electronic medium to the Division of Purchases, Room 119, 9 State House Station, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine by the stated deadline. The State will award to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value considerations including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery date, and ultimate cost. Cash discounts of 20 days or longer will be factored into the low-bid calculation; shorter discounts will not. All pricing must exclude Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes. Transportation charges, including freight, must be prepaid and borne by the contractor unless otherwise specified. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent, and procure from alternative sources in case of contractor default, charging excess costs to the defaulting contractor. Bidders must provide current material safety data sheets for any hazardous chemicals in compliance with the Maine Chemical Substance Identification Law.
