About this opportunity
The Port of Corpus Christi Authority is soliciting bids for roof ventilation system demolition, modification, and installation at Cargo Dock 14, with proposals due July 30, 2026.
The scope includes demolition and installation of roof ventilation systems, associated curb work, and electrical modifications to support new roof vents. The contractor must submit a fully developed construction schedule (preferably CPM-based) within 10 days of Notice to Proceed and conduct a pre-construction conference no later than 10 days after contract execution. Shop drawings, product data, and mill certificates require minimum two-week lead time for review. Progress meetings will be held regularly throughout performance.
The contractor must comply with the Port of Corpus Christi Authority's extensive policies and procedures, including equal opportunity employment, affirmative action, harassment and workplace violence prevention, substance abuse prevention with mandatory drug testing, and concealed handgun prohibitions on all Port property. Environmental requirements are stringent: the contractor must prepare a detailed Hurricane Readiness Plan with equipment relocation and personnel evacuation procedures aligned with Port hurricane preparedness conditions and comply with the PCCA's ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System program. All contractor personnel must complete EMS awareness training and implement best management practices for air emissions, stormwater runoff prevention, fuel handling, waste disposal, and equipment maintenance. The contractor bears all costs associated with hurricane preparedness activities; time spent on hurricane-related tasks is added as additional completion days rather than compensable time.
The contractor must coordinate with Port Police and appropriate state and federal agencies for pollution prevention, spill response, and environmental notifications based on reportable quantities.
