About this opportunity

Canyon Ranch Municipal Utility District (MUD) in Comal County, Texas, through Lennar Homes of Texas, is requesting sealed bids for construction of a reclaimed water system, with bids due August 12, 2026 — a hard deadline of one week from posting. This is a reposted opportunity following a prior bid cycle that closed July 29, 2026.

The scope includes furnishing and installing an 80,000-gallon welded steel ground storage tank with foundation and cathodic protection design; a packaged reclaimed water pump station with foundation design and instrumentation and controls; 230 linear feet of 6-inch PVC piping to tie into the reclaimed water distribution main; 210 linear feet of 6-inch PVC piping to tie into the existing wastewater treatment facility; 480 linear feet of 8-inch PVC piping to tie into the TCEQ permitted outfall location; electrical work including lighting, control panels, underground conduits, light poles, electrical canary and foundation; curb and gutter and sidewalk; sedimentation and erosion control; fencing, gates, reclaimed water signage, and site security.

Bidders must demonstrate minimum qualifications of at least $5 million bonding capacity and five completed projects exceeding $5 million in the San Antonio–New Braunfels metropolitan area. Bid security of 5 percent of the maximum bid price is required in the form of certified check, bank money order, or bid bond. The successful bidder must achieve substantial completion within 305 calendar days and final completion within 365 calendar days following Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day for delays. Award will be made to the lowest responsive bid. Performance and payment bonds are required in accordance with Texas Government Code.
