About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of a cable with manual release for exterior unlocking, identified as contract opportunity 2099206. This is a purchase order-based procurement posted on May 8, 2026, with a submission deadline of May 22, 2026. Bidders must register in the BONFIRE system to access complete project details and the bid table, which will contain specifications for the cable assembly and vendor response fields accessible through an in-browser interface. The procurement requires FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall bid price, and timely delivery is essential to the contract. Vendors must submit invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and comply with DART's standard purchase order terms and conditions, which include Net 30 payment terms calculated from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the available documentation, the primary considerations will include price, delivery capability, and compliance with DART's terms regarding timely performance and contractual obligations.
The available procurement documentation does not identify any set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions limiting eligible bidders to specific organization types. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the posting materials. Bidders must certify compliance with equal opportunity employment requirements, non-interest of public officials, non-terrorist organization status, and non-boycott of Israel provisions as mandated by DART's terms and conditions. All applicable federal, state, and local taxes and duties must be included in pricing, with DART exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes. The contract is governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County. No specific award value or budget range is provided in the available documentation; interested vendors should access the BONFIRE system and review the complete bid table for pricing guidance and detailed specifications.
