About this opportunity

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking a Master Agreement contractor to provide comprehensive Cable Television System Infrastructure Services across multiple correctional facility locations. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) C5611695-D requires a qualified vendor to perform preventative maintenance, inspection, repair, testing, and certification services for cable television equipment, including digital, analog, and IP-based devices such as antennas, headends, modulators, combiners, distribution amplifiers, distribution cables, couplings, and connectors. The contractor will be responsible for repairing deficiencies identified by CDCR contract liaisons and must include all associated labor, personnel, transportation, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, permits, licenses, taxes, and other necessary expenses. The solicitation was posted on September 18, 2025, with proposals due by November 12, 2025. Compensation will be based on the rates specified in the attached Exhibit B-1 Rate Sheet, and services will be performed at the CDCR locations listed in Exhibit E.

The solicitation does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types. While no incumbent vendor information is provided, the contract appears to be structured as a master agreement with potential for multiple correctional facility deployments. The scope suggests a comprehensive infrastructure service contract that would require significant technical expertise in cable television systems and correctional facility technology integration. Although specific budget ranges are not detailed in the provided information, the requirement for extensive equipment maintenance and repair across multiple locations implies a potentially substantial contract value. The contractor must be prepared to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, and support to maintain and repair cable television infrastructure at various CDCR facilities, demonstrating a high level of technical capability and operational flexibility.
