About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity posted by Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, is seeking to procure miniature light bulbs, specifically referencing catalog item #895. Vendors must register through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details and submit proposals. The procurement is scheduled to open on September 6, 2025, with submissions due by September 11, 2025. Bidders are required to follow specific freight and delivery terms, with all bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping and including freight costs in the overall price. DART emphasizes that delivery timing is critical, and failure to meet specified delivery rates could result in order rejection or contract termination. Vendors must adhere to strict invoice submission guidelines, including providing triplicate copies with detailed purchase order information, and must expect payment under Net 30 terms.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements were explicitly mentioned in the documentation, vendors must comply with several important contractual provisions. The attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document includes critical certifications, such as commitments to not conduct business with Foreign Terrorist Organizations and a pledge not to boycott Israel. Vendors must also demonstrate compliance with equal opportunity employment standards and understand that any contract assignments require prior written consent. Though no specific award value or budget range was provided for this light bulb procurement, the detailed terms suggest DART seeks reliable, compliant vendors who can consistently meet precise operational specifications. The procurement appears to be part of DART's ongoing infrastructure and maintenance supply chain, indicating potential for future contract opportunities for vendors who successfully meet the current solicitation's requirements.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12.
