About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking bids for the procurement of light bulbs, specifically 28V white bulbs in packages of five units, with requisition number 2098370. This is a straightforward goods procurement open to qualified vendors capable of meeting DART's stringent delivery and quality requirements. The primary objective is to obtain a reliable supply of lighting components that meet the specified voltage and color specifications. Vendors must demonstrate the ability to deliver goods on the exact timeline specified by DART, as timely delivery is considered essential to the contract; failure to meet delivery schedules may result in rejection and default termination of the purchase order. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, and invoices must be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org with complete documentation including purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The proposal submission deadline is March 25, 2026, with the opportunity having been posted on March 18, 2026, providing a seven-day bidding window. Potential vendors must access the complete bid details and response fields through the BONFIRE registration system's in-browser BidTable, which contains project specifications and vendor response requirements.
The procurement documents do not specify set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises or other restricted vendor categories based on the information provided. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the opportunity materials. Payment terms are established at Net 30 days from receipt of invoice or receipt of order, whichever is later, and DART retains exemption from Texas state and local sales and use taxes. The specific award value or budget range for this procurement is not disclosed in the available documentation; interested vendors must access the detailed BidTable within the BONFIRE system to determine estimated quantities and obtain complete pricing parameters. All purchase orders are subject to DART's comprehensive Terms and Conditions, which establish the contractual framework governing vendor performance, delivery obligations, quality standards, and dispute resolution procedures under Texas law with venue in Dallas County.
