The state of Florida's Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking to lease up to 40 AMC Model 2700 juice extractors from Brown International Corporation, LLC for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. These extractors are used to test and evaluate the maturity of citrus deliveries throughout the state, as required by Florida Administrative Code. Brown International Corporation, LLC holds the patents for this specific extractor model, and there is no equivalent available. The estimated contract amount is $159,900, and the cost for leasing these machines is reimbursed by individual processing plants. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, as this is a single source procurement. Brown International Corporation, LLC is the incumbent vendor, as they hold the patents for the required extractor model. The agency has not provided any information regarding potential award values or budget ranges beyond the estimated contract amount of $159,900.
