About this opportunity
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is soliciting bids for bridge replacement and approach work on County Road 430 at McFaddin Creek Tributary, North County Road 201 at Hoggs Bayou, and County Road 127 at Brushy Creek in Panola County, and County Road 1314 at Akin Creek in Bowie County, with bids due June 2, 2026. A notarized Buy America Certification Form is required for all items classified as construction materials — a compliance filter for federal-aid highway funding.
The scope encompasses full bridge and approach replacement including roadway excavation (1,108 cubic yards), embankment (537 cubic yards), cement-treated subgrade (779–2,488 square yards), drilled shaft foundations (516 linear feet of 24-inch shafts), concrete substructures and superstructures, prestressed concrete girders, asphalt paving (129 tons of asphalt mix), riprap installation, guardrail systems, and delineator assemblies. Work must be completed within 340 working days.
Contractors must submit a proposal guaranty of $55,000 as a cashier's check, teller's check, or bid bond. Unit prices are required for each pay item and will be extended by estimated quantities to determine final contract value. Audited financial statements and experience questionnaires are due at least ten days prior to the letting date. All addenda must be acknowledged; failure to do so results in the bid not being read.
The project is subject to federal Davis-Bacon wage requirements, Equal Employment Opportunity provisions, nondiscrimination certifications, E-Verify employment eligibility verification, Section 889 of the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act and foreign adversaries compliance, federal-aid construction contract provisions, Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and stormwater discharge authorization from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Liquidated damages are assessed per the Special Provisions schedule.
