About this opportunity

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is seeking bids for a bridge and culvert replacement project along NY Routes 3 and 12E in Jefferson County. The procurement, identified by Contract ID 685534489f1b81599c034044, involves comprehensive infrastructure improvements at various locations. Electronic bidding documents will be available starting June 25, 2025, with sealed bids to be received until 10:30 AM on August 7, 2025, at the NYSDOT Office of Contract Management in Albany. Bidders must submit a bid deposit of approximately $750,000 (5% of bid) and can submit proposals either in-person or via www.bidx.com. All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashier's check payable to NYSDOT, and must comply with specific documentation requirements including use of form CONR 391 for bonds.

The contract includes specific diversity and inclusion requirements, with a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal of 4.00%. Bidders are required to submit DBE commitments with their proposals and are encouraged to establish an active account in the Equitable Business Opportunity (EBO) solution software. There are no service-disabled veteran-owned business set-asides for this contract. The procurement emphasizes non-discrimination, ensuring full opportunity for disadvantaged businesses to submit bids without discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or income status. While no specific budget range is provided, the bid deposit suggests a project value around $15 million. Potential bidders must carefully review all contract documents, track amendments through the NYSDOT website, and be prepared to demonstrate compliance with civil rights reporting requirements.
