About this opportunity
The Town of Branford, Connecticut is soliciting sealed bids for the Branford Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) Process System Upgrades, a comprehensive infrastructure improvement project located in New Haven County. The procurement involves the installation of new process equipment, specifically including process air blowers, a WAS blower, a reaeration blower, new plant water pumps, and associated piping systems. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 10th, 2025, at 10 a.m. EST at the facility located at 75 Block Island Rd, Branford. Sealed bids will be received until 1:30 p.m. local time on June 23rd, 2025, at the Finance Office, Town Hall, with bids to be publicly opened and read aloud in the basement conference room. The primary contact for this bid is Tyechia Pettway from the Purchasing Department, who can be reached at 203-315-0625 or purchasing@branford-ct.gov. Bidders are required to thoroughly review the solicitation documents, which include the main solicitation PDF and two appendix files with figure key drawings.
The solicitation documents do not specify any specific set-aside designations or restrictions on participating organizations. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the available documentation. The bid does not provide an estimated total value, specific delivery terms, or detailed payment terms. The contract period is defined as May 22, 2025, to June 23, 2025. Potential bidders should note that the project involves critical infrastructure upgrades for the water pollution control facility, which suggests the need for specialized technical expertise in municipal water treatment and processing systems. While no specific budget range is listed, the complexity of the project—involving multiple blower systems, pumps, and associated piping—indicates a potentially significant capital investment. Interested vendors should carefully review the technical specifications and be prepared to demonstrate capabilities in municipal water treatment infrastructure upgrades.
