About this opportunity

The state and local contract opportunity is issued by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas, with a specific bid identifier BRAKE HEAD R. H. | 2097527. The procurement opportunity was posted on January 14, 2026, with proposals due by January 21, 2026. Potential vendors must complete Bonfire registration to access full bid details and are required to submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price. All purchase orders are subject to DART's standard Terms and Conditions, which emphasize strict adherence to delivery schedules and performance standards. Vendors must be prepared to meet precise delivery timelines, understanding that failure to do so could result in order rejection or default termination. The procurement process mandates that invoices be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate, with specific documentation requirements including purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement process appears to be open to qualified vendors who can meet DART's stringent requirements. Payment terms are consistently Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt or order completion. The contract includes mandatory compliance provisions related to equal opportunity employment and certifications regarding terrorist organizations. Vendors must be prepared to resolve potential disputes through the Contracting Officer's written decisions, with all contracts governed by Texas law and venue established in Dallas County. While the exact award value is not specified, vendors should anticipate a comprehensive evaluation process that scrutinizes delivery capabilities, pricing, and adherence to specified performance standards. The procurement opportunity suggests DART is seeking a reliable vendor capable of meeting precise operational requirements with consistent, high-quality service delivery.
