About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking a Blanket Purchase Order (BPO) for Crane Repair Service through a competitive solicitation process for comprehensive maintenance and repair work across multiple crane systems. The procurement covers repair and replacement services for 11 crane units located in various facility areas including Street Car Shop, Mezzanine, Truck Repair, and Machine Shop, involving specific line items for repairs on Jib, Bridge, and Monorail cranes. Specific tasks include replacing pendant stations, wire ropes, reversing contactors, installing safety latch kits, strain relief components, trolleys, bumpers, and performing gearbox inspections and adjustments. The solicitation requires vendors to submit comprehensive pricing through the Supplier Portal, covering all associated costs including supervision, labor, equipment, materials, and delivery requirements. The bid is due on August 7, 2025, with vendors required to complete Bonfire registration to access full details, and must adhere to FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price. DART has established specific payment terms of Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the documentation, vendors must meet certain compliance standards, including not being on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with contracts with foreign terrorist organizations and affirming they do not boycott Israel. The solicitation covers a contingency allocation for unforeseen repairs, suggesting potential flexibility in project scope and potential contract value. Though exact budget ranges are not specified, the comprehensive nature of the crane repair services across multiple units indicates a substantial procurement opportunity. The contract will be governed by Texas state law and Dallas County jurisdiction, with DART reserving the right to terminate the order for vendor non-performance. Vendors should note that false statements submitted to DART may constitute a criminal offense under Section 37.10 of the Texas Penal Code, emphasizing the importance of accurate and truthful proposal submissions.
