About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART), a government entity operating within Dallas County, Texas, is procuring a Battery Box, Complete (Item 2097547) through a competitive purchase order process. This procurement requires vendors to submit bids that reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with all freight costs included in the overall quoted price. Vendors must access detailed product specifications and the bid table through DART's Bonfire registration system by initiating the "Prepare Your Submission" process; product details and vendor response fields are contained within the in-browser BidTable. The solicitation emphasizes that timely delivery is essential to the order, with delivery schedules being of the essence of the contract, and failure to meet specified delivery timeframes may result in rejection and default termination. All submitted bids must comply with DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which govern the contractual relationship between the vendor and the Authority. The deadline for bid submission is January 23, 2026, with the solicitation having been posted on January 16, 2026.
DART retains significant contractual authority under the terms of this procurement, including the right to terminate the order for default or for convenience at the Authority's discretion. All vendors must certify compliance with federal restrictions on contracting with companies designated as Foreign Terrorist Organizations and must commit to not boycotting Israel as a condition of doing business with DART. Payment terms are established at Net 30, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org, and payment issued 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from purchase order receipt, whichever is later. The contract is governed by Texas law with venue established in Dallas County. DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales taxes, and any sales tax included in vendor invoices will be deducted prior to payment. The solicitation documentation does not specify a set-aside designation for small, minority-owned, or disadvantaged business enterprises, nor does it identify incumbent vendors, existing contractor relationships, or a stated budget range for this procurement.
