About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking vendors to provide bolts, nuts, and washers through a competitive procurement process identified by requisition numbers 2094423, 2094424, and 2094572. The solicitation was posted on August 11, 2025, with responses due by August 13, 2025, requiring potential vendors to register through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details. Potential suppliers must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall pricing, and understand that delivery timing and rates are critically important, with potential contract termination for failure to meet specified delivery requirements. All bids must adhere to DART's purchase order terms and conditions, which are comprehensively detailed in the attached PDF document. Vendors must be prepared to submit invoices electronically to APInvoices@dart.org, with invoices containing specific required information including purchase order number, item details, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. DART will utilize a Net 30 payment terms structure, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt.

The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions limiting respondent types, suggesting open competition for qualified vendors capable of supplying the specified hardware components. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated in the available documentation, the solicitation implies a standard procurement process for industrial fastening hardware. The contract terms emphasize compliance with legal requirements, including provisions related to equal opportunity employment, tax considerations, and certifications regarding business relations. DART maintains significant discretion in contract administration, with rights to modify orders, inspect deliveries, and terminate contracts for default. Vendors should carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document, which outlines comprehensive legal and operational requirements for doing business with the transit authority, including specific certifications and compliance expectations. The procurement is governed by Texas state law and focuses on acquiring essential hardware components for DART's operational infrastructure.
