About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) in Dallas County, Texas is soliciting bids for the procurement of stainless steel bolts, specifically 1/4"-20 x 1 1/2" fasteners (Item 2097548). This is a straightforward purchase order for industrial hardware supplies with delivery to be made on FOB Destination terms, with all freight costs included in the quoted price. The solicitation was posted on January 16, 2026, with a bid due date of January 23, 2026, providing potential vendors with seven days to prepare and submit their responses. Bidders must access the complete project details and respond through DART's BONFIRE registration system by initiating the "Prepare Your Submission" process and locating the in-browser BidTable for vendor response fields. The evaluation criteria emphasize strict adherence to delivery timelines, as timely delivery is deemed essential to the order, with failure to meet specified delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. All purchase orders are subject to DART's standard Terms and Conditions, which establish the legal and operational framework for the supplier relationship and contractual obligations.

The procurement opportunity does not appear to include specific set-aside designations or restrictions limiting bidder eligibility based on disadvantaged business enterprise status or organizational type in the available documentation. Payment will be made on Net 30 terms, calculated from whichever is later—the date of invoice receipt or order receipt—with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and containing the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. No incumbent vendor information, existing technology integration requirements, or specific award value ranges are disclosed in the posted materials. The contracting authority retains the right to terminate the order for convenience or for default, with all contractual rights and obligations governed by Texas law and adjudicated through Dallas County venue. Interested bidders should review the complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document available in the Supporting Documentation section to understand all applicable requirements and contractual obligations before submitting their bids.
