About this opportunity

Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Department is issuing Request for Quotation (RFQ) #450916/HS for boat storage services under a term contract. The procurement seeks firm fixed pricing to establish a twelve-month term contract with four optional twelve-month renewal periods, subject to mutual written agreement and Board appropriation of funds. The successful vendor must provide comprehensive boat storage services including in-out service available seven days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 24/7 site security, covered in-out dry storage, complimentary forklift launching services, temporary in-water dockage, fuel facilities, wash racks with fresh water, ample vehicle parking, and inside storage capacity for 32-foot boats with standard T-top configurations and 33-foot deep impact dry rack storage accommodating twin outboard motors. Additional required amenities include dock carts, dinghy docks, trash and recycling facilities, and restrooms. The storage facility must be located within five miles of Lake Worth Inlet or South Lake Worth Inlet. Quotations must be submitted by July 7, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. via fax or email to Holly Skeen, Buyer, at the Purchasing Department. Pricing shall be submitted on a twelve-month unit basis with a single fixed unit price, and payment is rendered only upon County satisfaction and acceptance of services with no additional compensation for travel, fuel, mileage, or incidental expenses. The County will award on an all-or-none basis to the lowest responsive, responsible quoter.

The County offers local preference provisions with up to five percent discounts available to Palm Beach County-based or Glades-based businesses, in addition to small/minority/women-owned business (S/M/WBE) provisions. The successful quoter must obtain and maintain a Palm Beach County Local Business Tax Receipt, provide evidence of Commercial General Liability Insurance with a minimum of $500,000 per occurrence, Property Insurance of $100,000 per occurrence, and Workers' Compensation insurance in accordance with Florida Statute Chapter 440. Vendors must register in the County's Vendor Self Service system and ensure all subcontractors are similarly registered prior to contract finalization. The quoter must comply with the County's Commercial Non-Discrimination Policy, Equal Business Opportunity Ordinance, public records requirements, and Criminal History Records Check Ordinance where applicable. No incumbent vendor or existing budget range is identified in this procurement document.
