About this opportunity
The state of Idaho is seeking a procurement for Remote Desktop Manager software to enable technicians to remotely access and troubleshoot end users' personal computers. The contract opportunity, identified by ID 67618761f5526e363f07a244, was posted on December 16, 2024, with proposals due by December 19, 2024. The primary objective appears to be establishing a technological solution that allows IT support personnel to efficiently diagnose and resolve technical issues through remote access capabilities. While specific technical requirements are not fully detailed, the procurement suggests a need for robust, secure remote desktop management tools that can facilitate seamless technical support across state agency computer systems. The short timeline between posting and submission dates indicates an urgent or time-sensitive procurement process that requires quick vendor response and implementation.
No explicit set-aside designations or specific vendor restrictions are mentioned in the provided contract opportunity details. The procurement does not specify whether the contract is limited to small businesses, disadvantaged enterprises, or local Idaho vendors. Additionally, no incumbent vendors, current contract holders, or specific budget ranges are indicated in the available information. The lack of comprehensive details suggests that potential vendors should seek additional clarification directly from the state procurement office. Interested parties would be advised to request more information about potential contract value, specific technical integration requirements, and any additional qualifications or technical specifications not outlined in the initial posting.

The Idaho Transportation Department has requested a brand name exemption for the purchase of V-Box Spreader Conveyor Augers. If approved, a brand name exemption allows an agency to specify one brand name only in a procurement and to eliminate bids for any alternate or substitute property. Brand name exemptions are at the discretion of the DOP Administrator. In the interest of transparency, DOP is offering suppliers the opportunity to review this requested exemption and provide relevant information. The decision remains discretionary, and suppliers have no right to appeal the Administrator's decision. Suppliers are invited to provide information that may help the DOP Administrator make a decision regarding this brand name exemption. Please review the Agency's request, attached in the Buyer Attachment section of IPRO. You are invited to provide information that may help support or contradict the claim that the named brand is the only brand that can meet the agency's business needs. Submit your information by attaching it in the Supplier Attachments section of IPRO and submitting your response or emailing purchasing@adm.idaho.gov. To be considered by the Administrator, all information must be submitted prior to the closing date and time listed in IPRO.
