About this opportunity
Gwinnett County, through its Board of Commissioners and Purchasing Office, is soliciting sealed bids under Invitation to Bid BL151-26 for tactical weapons and accessories for the Gwinnett Sheriff's Office. Questions are due November 11, 2026 at 3:00 P.M., and bids are due November 16, 2026 at 2:50 P.M. local time.
The scope covers 15 Brugger + Thomet APC9SD LE SBR tactical rifles, configured both with MBT stocks and with telescopic stocks. It also includes 60 Glock 9mm magazines with 33-round capacity and 30 units each of Surefire lighting equipment, tactical grips, and tactical slings. The solicitation names the rifle model specifically. The County may request product samples or demonstrations, which vendors must provide within five business days at their own expense.
Delivery must be completed by December 31, 2026, on an F.O.B. Destination basis to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office at 2900 University Parkway, Lawrenceville, Georgia. All pricing must include delivery and shipping charges. The County is exempt from federal excise tax and Georgia sales tax. Bidders must submit a Bid Schedule, at least three references, and a Code of Ethics Affidavit. Vendors must comply with the Illegal Immigration Reform Enhancements for 2013 and federal worker verification requirements. No bid, payment, or performance bonds are required. Payment is by ePayables or Direct Deposit, selected upon award notification.
Award goes to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, split bids among multiple vendors, and negotiate terms with the lowest responsive bidder. If a vendor fails to deliver or defaults, the County may purchase replacement items on the open market and charge the vendor the excess costs. Bids open publicly at 3:00 P.M. on November 16, 2026 via Microsoft Teams. Questions go to Chelsey Ward, Purchasing Associate III.
