About this opportunity
Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is requesting bids for purchase and installation of fence services on an annual contract with four renewal options establishing a five-year term, with bids due October 15, 2026 at 2:50 p.m.
The scope includes demolition and removal of existing fencing and gates, repair of damaged or deteriorated systems, and installation of new fence and gate systems across various County facilities. Acceptable fence types are galvanized chain link, coated chain link, wood, aluminum, rigid PVC, pasture fence, wood barrier or guardrail, and playground barrier fence, with optional concertina wire and barbed wire security enhancements. Work must commence within 10 business days of the purchase order and be completed within 30 days unless mutually agreed otherwise; emergency requests addressing safety issues require same-day completion.
Contractors must be authorized to do business in Georgia with an A.M. Best rating of A-7 or higher. A minimum one-year warranty on labor is required, and manufacturers' material warranties on all installed systems must be maintained. Bidders must provide references from a minimum of three similar projects completed within the past three years, and all fence installations must be performed by installers with demonstrated and verifiable experience within the preceding three years. For new fence installations exceeding $20,000, the County reserves the right to solicit competitive quotes to ensure pricing aligns with County interest. Rental equipment costs are reimbursable at cost with no markup, contingent on prior approval and presentation of rental receipts.
Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, split bids, award in entirety, and negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with the lowest responsive and responsible vendor or vendors. Questions were due October 2, 2026 to Savannah Anderson, Purchasing Associate II. Sealed bids in duplicate were submitted to Gwinnett County Financial Services – Purchasing Division, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia, with bid opening held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
