About this opportunity
Area Cooperative Educational Services (ACES), a non-profit organization in Hartford, Connecticut, is seeking bids for a Truck Driving Simulator to be installed at a juvenile residential treatment facility located at 123 Washington Street. The procurement involves the complete acquisition, delivery, and installation of a comprehensive truck driving simulator system, with the primary objective of enhancing training capabilities for youth in the residential treatment program. The solicitation requires vendors to provide all major installation components and handle any minor or incidental work necessary for full project completion. The bid period is open from July 17, 2024, at 7:00 AM EDT to August 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM EDT, with a firm procurement deadline of December 31, 2024. ACES has specified delivery terms as Free On Board Destination and will accept vendor-specified payment terms. While specific technical requirements are not detailed in the provided documents, interested vendors are encouraged to contact Lisa Simone, Principal of ACES Youth and Justice Education, for additional information.
No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on vendor participation were identified in the solicitation documents. The bid appears open to all vendors without preference for disadvantaged enterprises or specific business categories. No incumbent vendors or existing technology infrastructure details were provided that would require integration with the new truck driving simulator. Similarly, the solicitation does not disclose an estimated contract value, budget range, or total funding allocation for this procurement. The documents consistently indicate that ACES is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization seeking to procure this training equipment for its juvenile residential treatment program. Vendors responding to the solicitation should be prepared to provide a comprehensive truck driving simulator solution that meets the educational and training needs of the facility, with full installation and implementation to be completed by the end of 2024.
