About this opportunity

East Longmeadow Public Schools is requesting bids for procurement, delivery, and installation of seven-row outdoor non-elevated aluminum angle-frame bleachers at East Longmeadow High School Athletic Turf Field, with bids due October 26, 2026 at 2:00 PM and a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site inspection on October 21 at 9:00 AM.

The scope includes removal of existing bleachers, installation of new bleachers anchored to a pre-existing concrete pad at 180 Maple Street, and compliance with the Massachusetts State Building Code (780 CMR), Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, and standard safety guardrail specifications. Bid documents are available electronically beginning October 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM via email request to pamela.blair@eastlongmeadowma.gov.

All installation services are subject to prevailing wage rates established by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards under M.G.L. c. 149, 26-27. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond from a Massachusetts-authorized surety in the amount of five percent of the total bid value. The successful bidder may be required to furnish either a fifty percent Payment Bond or one hundred percent Performance and Payment Bonds depending on applicable M.G.L. thresholds. All bidders must sign and return the Certificate of Non-Collusion and State Tax Compliance Certification forms included in the bid package. Sealed bids must be submitted to the East Longmeadow Public Schools Central Office, Attn: Pamela Blair, Assistant Superintendent for Business, clearly marked with the project title and number. Late bids are rejected under any circumstances. The district reserves the right to waive any informalities, cancel the solicitation in whole or part, or reject any and all bids if determined to be in the public interest.
