About this opportunity
The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County (ACCUG) is requesting bids on replacing 21 irrigation valves at Holland Youth Sports Complex, with sealed bids due September 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET at 375 Satula Avenue, Athens, Georgia.
The scope includes providing and installing ICV Valves (3-inch glass-filled nylon globe/angle valves with flow control and DC latching solenoid), NDS Pro Spec Series valve boxes, gravel base preparation, and associated installation work at the facility located at 250 Vincent Drive in Athens, Georgia. A valve location map is attached to establish the distribution and scope of work.
The estimated project range is $50,000 to $60,000. Work must be completed and ready for use within 30 calendar days of receiving the Proceed Order, and the contract remains valid for 120 days from bid opening. ACCUG expects to award the contract within five days of bid opening, with work commencing within 30 days of award.
All bids require a 5% bid bond; the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract total. Contractors must maintain comprehensive insurance including workers compensation, commercial general liability with minimum limits of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million general aggregate, automobile liability, and umbrella coverage of $2 million, with ACCUG named as additional insured. Bidders must submit one unbound original and one USB flash drive with the signed bid, bid bond, bid form, statement of bidder's qualifications, acknowledgement of addenda, Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance affidavit, and appropriate corporate or partnership certificates.
An optional pre-bid conference is scheduled for September 1, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET at the project site; site inspection is encouraged and failure to inspect does not relieve bidders of their obligations. Written inquiries are due September 9, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. ET. Contact Edward Tulenko, Senior Buyer (accbids@accgov.com), for administrative questions and Julia Johnson, Project Manager (Julia.johnson@accgov.com), for technical questions.
