About this opportunity

Henry County, Georgia is seeking qualified vendors for an annual contract for tree removal and vegetation management services through Bid #26-21. The procurement aims to secure comprehensive arboricultural services including tree removal, trimming, stump grinding, debris removal, and 24-hour emergency storm response. Contractors must comply with ANSI A300 Standards and OSHA safety requirements, providing services across five tree diameter categories (1-12 inches, 13-24 inches, 25-36 inches, 37-48 inches, and 49+ inches) and four tree size classes (small, medium, large, and extra-large). Bid submissions are due February 10, 2026, at 3:00 PM local time, with electronic submissions required through the County's eProcurement Portal. Clarification questions must be submitted by January 27, 2026, at 3:00 PM, with the first addendum to be posted by February 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The initial contract term is one year from execution, with potential renewals for two additional one-year periods, contingent on decisions made 60 days prior to contract expiration.

The procurement includes specific insurance requirements, mandating contractors maintain current workers' compensation insurance, commercial general liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence with $2,000,000 general aggregate, and automobile liability insurance of $1,000,000 combined single limit. Henry County offers a local vendor preference to qualified in-county businesses within five percent of the lowest out-of-county bid, subject to residency and tax compliance verification. While no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are explicitly mentioned, bidders must submit comprehensive documentation including W-9 forms, Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act affidavits, references, and non-discrimination covenants. Pricing must be submitted on a unit basis with no minimum purchase guarantee from the County, and price increases are strongly discouraged, requiring Board approval if submitted 60 days prior to contract renewal. Though specific budget ranges are not detailed, the comprehensive nature of the services and the annual contract structure suggest a potentially significant procurement opportunity for qualified tree and vegetation management service providers.
