About this opportunity
The Village of Beverly Hills is seeking construction services for the Beverly Park Playscape Improvements project, a comprehensive playground renovation located in Oakland County, Michigan. The procurement involves a single prime contract for demolishing existing playground equipment, including a merry-go-round and play structures, while preserving existing benches, concrete surfaces, shrubs, and trees. The project requires contractors to install new playground features such as custom play structures, a ZipKrooz, swing sets, and additional benches, with specific technical requirements including artificial turf installation, tree protection, and concrete pad specifications. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. EDT at the Village of Beverly Hills Municipal Building, with bid submissions due on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Contractors must provide detailed shop drawings, verify equipment spacing and safety zones, submit product data for surface materials, and comply with Michigan's Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Act. The Village will evaluate bids through a committee selection process, focusing on the most qualified vendor whose proposal is deemed in the best interest of the municipality.
The procurement does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. Contractors will be required to provide performance bonds, maintain comprehensive insurance, and commit to a one-year maintenance period following project completion. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed in the documents, the project will be funded through the Village of Beverly Hills, with the total project scope and exact budget to be determined through the competitive bidding process. Interested contractors must demonstrate capabilities in playground construction, site preparation, landscape restoration, and adherence to municipal construction standards. The project requires precise coordination with local utilities and township services, sophisticated site management skills, and a commitment to preserving existing landscape elements during the renovation. Successful bidders will need to provide comprehensive project documentation, ensure job site safety, and manage all aspects of the playground improvement project from initial demolition through final installation and inspection.
