About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure a bearing radius rod assembly, specifically identified by the contract number 2097325. The procurement opportunity is focused on acquiring specific mechanical components, likely for transit vehicle maintenance or repair. Potential vendors must register through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details and submit responses. The contract requires strict adherence to specific delivery and shipping terms, with a mandatory FOB Destination shipping requirement that includes freight costs in the overall pricing. Interested suppliers must submit their bids by January 9, 2026, following a detailed submission process that involves preparing documentation through the Bonfire platform. Key performance expectations include precise delivery timelines, with DART explicitly stating that failure to meet delivery schedules could result in order rejection and potential default termination.

While the provided documentation does not explicitly outline set-aside designations or specific vendor restrictions, the contract does include several compliance requirements for potential bidders. DART's standard purchase order terms mandate that vendors certify compliance with Texas statutory requirements, including non-boycott of Israel provisions and exclusion from the Texas Comptroller's foreign terrorist organization list. Payment terms are firmly established at Net 30, with invoices required to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org and include comprehensive documentation such as purchase order number, item details, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The contract will be governed by Texas law, with legal venue situated in Dallas County. Although specific budget ranges are not disclosed in the available documentation, vendors should be prepared to provide competitive pricing for the bearing radius rod assembly while meeting DART's stringent technical and logistical specifications.
