About this opportunity
The City of Austin Purchasing Office has issued Invitation for Quotation (IFQ) 1100 AGM1002 for the procurement of battery chargers. The solicitation seeks quotes from qualified vendors to supply one unit of a 24 VDC 50 amp output battery charger with 240 VAC 60 Hz single phase input, internal form C alarm contacts, wall-mounted configuration, and approved manufacturer part number SENS/Q024050TL512C. The deliverable must be shipped FOB Destination, Prepaid to Austin Energy - Sand Hill Energy Center at 1101 Fallwell Lane, Del Valle, Texas 78617, with a two-day lead time requirement. Respondents must submit quotes via email to Procurement Specialist Ahide Garcia at Ahide.Garcia@AustinTexas.gov no later than 2:00 PM on February 18, 2026. Pricing must be quoted on an FOB Destination basis inclusive of all freight charges, handling, applicable discounts, and any other costs, with no separate administrative, overhead, per diem, or transportation charges permitted. All offers will be evaluated based on lowest price meeting minimum requirements, with the City reserving the right to determine product equivalency and compare quotes on individual line items, categories, or aggregate pricing as most advantageous to the City. Payment terms provide for payment within thirty days of receipt of properly documented invoices upon delivery of conforming goods and satisfaction of City requirements.
The solicitation follows a two-tiered process, with initial solicitation notices distributed to certified Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) or Minority/Women Business Enterprises (M/WBE) vendors through the State of Texas and City of Austin; if adequate quotes are not received from these certified contractors, the solicitation will be posted online at the City's Austin Finance Online website and distributed to all vendors registered for the applicable commodity code. Contractors must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, provide certificates of insurance, maintain records for three years post-contract, and certify compliance with wage theft ordinances and non-discrimination policies. All shipments must conform to applicable environmental and transportation regulations. The City of Austin is exempt from federal excise tax and state sales tax, so pricing must exclude these charges. The City reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time for any reason, including convenience, and does not guarantee purchase of the quantities listed. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the solicitation documents.
