About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking a specific battery component through a competitive quote process for a procurement located in Dallas County, Texas. The specific procurement is for a BATTERY 472AH 1CELL 2V, referenced by procurement number 2094193. The solicitation requires vendors to submit quotes by August 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM CDT, with the opportunity closing upon receipt of a minimum of three quotes. Vendors must be registered on Bonfire to access detailed bid information and must submit comprehensive pricing that includes delivery timelines. DART will evaluate bids based on a combination of price and availability, with priority given to vendors who can match the exact manufacturer and part number specifications. While equivalent products may be considered, preference will be given to bids that precisely match the requested manufacturer and part number. Vendors must comply with FOB Destination shipping terms and include freight costs in their overall pricing.
The procurement does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices required to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate. The procurement is governed by DART's standard Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which include provisions for equal opportunity employment, certification of non-association with foreign terrorist organizations, and a clause stating the seller will not boycott Israel. The legal jurisdiction for any potential disputes is Dallas County, Texas, with governing law specified as Texas state law. While no specific budget range is provided, the procurement appears to be for a specific battery component critical to DART's operational infrastructure. Vendors must be prepared to meet stringent delivery requirements, with time and delivery rate considered essential elements of the order, and potential for rejection or default termination if delivery specifications are not met.
