About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity is a procurement by Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) for a specialized battery product, specifically a 368AH 1CELL battery from manufacturers Stryten Energy, GNB Industrial Power, or Exide, with a specific part number 50-G15S. The opportunity is posted for Dallas County, Texas, with a bid submission deadline of September 12, 2025, and requires mandatory Bonfire registration to access complete bid details. Potential vendors must adhere to specific freight and delivery terms, including FOB Destination shipping with freight costs included in the overall price, and understand that timely delivery is critical, with failure to meet delivery specifications potentially resulting in order rejection or default termination. The procurement process mandates that vendors submit invoices electronically to APInvoices@dart.org, with detailed documentation including purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. DART has established clear payment terms of Net 30, meaning invoices will be processed 30 days from receipt of invoice or order.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the documentation, vendors must comply with several important contractual provisions, including equal opportunity employment commitments and certification of non-association with foreign terrorist organizations. The purchase order terms include comprehensive requirements regarding commercial warranties, ensuring that provided goods must be of merchantable quality and suitable for intended use. Vendors must also affirm they will not boycott Israel as part of their contractual obligations. Though a specific award value is not disclosed, the procurement appears focused on acquiring critical battery infrastructure for DART's operational needs. The contract terms provide DART significant flexibility, including the right to terminate the order for default or convenience, with established mechanisms for potential damages and dispute resolution.

--- ***BONFIRE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ACCESS DETAILS / BIDTABLE*** *To access details / BidTable, please initiate the "Prepare Your Submission" process at the bottom of the page -- Thereafter, locate the in-browser BidTable window and scroll right for project details and vendor response fields.* --- **PURCHASE ORDER TERMS AND CONDITIONS** -- All purchase orders are subject to Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority's Terms and Conditions. The complete PO Terms and Conditions PDF is available for download in the "Supporting Documentation" section below. **Freight Terms Notice -** Please ensure that all bids/quotes reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with the freight cost included in the overall price. DART does not typically accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. **Delivery Terms Notice -** Time and rate of deliveries are of the essence of this order. Seller's failure to deliver at the time and rate specified shall be the basis for rejection and default termination by the Authority (*Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority*). **Payment Terms Notice -** All vendors are advised that DART's payment terms are Net 30. Invoices shall be submitted (APInvoices@dart.org) in triplicate (one copy shall be marked 'Original"), unless otherwise specified, and shall contain the following information: purchase order number; item number; purchase order description of supplies, services, or construction; sizes; quantities; unit prices; and extended totals. Unless otherwise specified, payment will be made on partial deliveries accepted by the Authority when the amount due on such deliveries so warrants. *Invoices will be paid 30 days from receipt of the invoice or 30 days from receipt of the order, whichever is later, unless other payment terms have been agreed upon in writing.* **Termination for Default Notice -** The Contracting Officer may by written notice terminate this order, in whole or in part, for failure of the Seller to perform any of the provisions hereof within the time periods specified. In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12. As used in this provision, the term "subcontractor" and "subcontractors" means subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers at any level.
