About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of a Battery, 12V 160AH, in Steel Case (Opportunity Number 2099271) through Dallas County, Texas. This is a straightforward goods procurement with a posted date of May 15, 2026, and a bid due date of May 22, 2026. Vendors must register on the BONFIRE platform to access the complete bidding details and BidTable, where they will find project specifications and response fields. The primary deliverable is a 12-volt, 160-ampere-hour battery housed in a steel case that meets DART's technical specifications. Delivery terms are critical to this procurement, as time and rate of deliveries are designated as essential elements of the order, with seller failure to meet specified delivery requirements serving as grounds for rejection and default termination. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. While specific evaluation criteria beyond adherence to specifications and delivery schedules are not detailed in the available documentation, vendors should anticipate that compliance with technical specifications, delivery reliability, and pricing competitiveness will be primary factors in award determination.
The procurement documentation does not indicate any specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or other restricted vendor categories; however, all vendors must comply with DART's standard terms and conditions, which include equal opportunity employment requirements and certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and boycotts of Israel. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available materials. The exact contract value or budget range is not specified in the posted information. Payment will be made on a Net 30 basis from either receipt of the invoice or receipt of the order, whichever is later, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org. Interested vendors should contact DART through the BONFIRE system for any clarifications regarding specifications, delivery requirements, or other procurement terms prior to the May 22, 2026 deadline.
