About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the purchase of a 12-volt DC NPX-35TFR battery through a competitive procurement process. This is a straightforward goods acquisition posted on February 26, 2026, with a proposal due date of March 6, 2026. All bids and quotes must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price; DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. Vendors must understand that time and rate of deliveries are essential to this order, and failure to meet specified delivery requirements constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination by the Authority. While the specific quantity, delivery schedule, and award value are not detailed in the available documentation, vendors must submit invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing the purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Payment will be made on a Net 30 basis, calculated from the later of either 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from purchase order receipt.

The procurement documents do not specify any set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, small businesses, or minority-owned vendors, suggesting this is an open competitive procurement available to all qualified suppliers. Vendors must comply with equal opportunity employment provisions, certify they are not identified on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts, and verify they do not boycott Israel. All supplied materials must be of merchantable quality, suitable for their intended purpose, compliant with specifications, and covered by the most favorable commercial warranties provided to any customer. No incumbent vendor information or technology integration requirements are identified in the available documentation. The specific budget allocation or award value for this battery procurement is not disclosed in the posted materials; interested vendors must register in the BONFIRE system and access the detailed BidTable to view complete project specifications and pricing information.
