About this opportunity

Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners Purchasing Department is issuing Request for Quotation (RFQ) #900427/SM for the purchase and delivery of alkaline and lantern batteries on a term contract basis. The procurement seeks quotations for two specific battery items: Item #1 consists of "AA" alkaline batteries in packs of twenty-four units with an estimated annual requirement of 650 packs, limited exclusively to Duracell and Eveready Energizer brands with no substitutions permitted, and Item #2 consists of lantern batteries, preferably Rayovac #6V-GP or equal, with an estimated annual requirement of 175 units. All quotations must be submitted by May 15, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. Palm Beach County Local Time via fax or email. The successful quoter will be awarded a twelve-month term contract with options to renew for four additional twelve-month periods, with all terms, conditions, and unit prices remaining unchanged through renewal periods. Pricing must be firm and fixed for ninety days from the opening date and remain firm for the initial term and all renewal periods, with all unit prices including freight, shipping, and handling fees. Delivery is required to the Palm Beach County Purchasing Warehouse at 2455 Vista Parkway, West Palm Beach, Florida 33411 within ten business days of receiving a delivery order, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The County reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as necessary and accepts no minimum order requirements.

Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certified vendors within ten percent of the lowest responsive bid may receive award preference. Local preference of five percent is available to quoters with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County or the Glades, provided they submit a Business Tax Receipt and completed Certification of Business Location with their quotes. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible quoter on an all-or-none basis, requiring quotes on all items. Pricing must reflect the most favorable terms offered to any other customer, and any manufacturer price reductions or market-driven price decreases must be passed through to the County. Payment will be made only upon County satisfaction and acceptance of delivered items. No incumbent vendors or budget range information is specified in the procurement documents provided.
