No small business, DVBE, TACPA, or other statutory preferences apply.
The scope covers preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and testing of three Generac generators located at CALCTRA Central Office (560 East Natoma Street, Folsom, CA 95630) and Camp 12/Green Valley Training Center (995 Folsom Lake Crossing, Folsom, CA 95630). Services include monthly maintenance, 90-day service intervals, annual service, and bi-annual service with full-load testing, all compliant with manufacturer recommendations and NFPA 110 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems. Bidders must hold a California General Engineering A-license and Electrical C-10 license, current business licenses, Department of Industrial Relations registration, and proof of insurance with CALCTRA and the State of California named as additional insureds. Minimum two years of similar services and three references from the past three years are required. Subcontractors may not exceed 50% of contract value; the contractor must provide minimum 50% of staffing. Bidders must provide 24-hour emergency contact availability and submit detailed hourly labor rates for standard hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays; cash discounts are permitted.
The contract term is two years with an option to extend one additional year at CALCTRA's discretion. The proposed start date is November 10, 2026. Award will be based on best value evaluated on cost (fair and reasonable pricing with expressed warranties and customer service commitments), performance (past performance history, quality, reliability, and ISO certification), and experience. All work must comply with prevailing wage requirements. Confirmation of pre-bid attendance is required by October 13, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Sealed bids must be submitted to Alex Twilling, Contract Analyst, at the Central Office address. The successful bidder letter and intent to award notification are anticipated October 22, 2026.
