About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is seeking competitive sealed bids for the procurement of an Automatic Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (ADCP) that meets ASTM D6951 standards. The ADCP must have the ability to record and display penetration rate, blows in correlation to CBR and PSF, as well as provide compatible text file downloads to EXCEL DCP and PCASE formats. The ADCP must also have a single or multiple drive rod option, the ability to mount to a vehicle, and be compatible with a 12V or 24V vehicle power supply. Bids are due on May 23, 2022 by 10:00 AM EST, and an intended award decision will be posted on the same day. The contract will be awarded as a purchase order, with no mention of renewal options. Vendors must provide pricing for the ADCP, mounting frame, Microsoft Surface Tablet, installation, and shipping on the bid sheet.

The contract opportunity is open to vendors registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketPlace system. Vendors from outside of Florida will be subject to the in-state preference law, which provides a 5% price preference for Florida-based businesses if the state where the out-of-state vendor is located does not provide a similar preference. No diversity or small business set-asides are mentioned, and there is no information provided about incumbent vendors or current contractors.
