About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is procuring one Lightning Arrestor, 1000 Volt with Surface Mount Kit through this purchase order opportunity. This procurement involves the supply and delivery of electrical equipment designed to protect transit infrastructure from lightning strikes. The deliverable consists of a complete arrestor unit with an integrated surface mount kit suitable for DART's operational requirements. Bidders must submit responses through the Bonfire registration system by the March 25, 2026 due date, with the posting date of March 18, 2026 allowing a one-week submission window. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall quoted price, and timely delivery in accordance with DART's specified delivery schedule is essential to contract performance. The procurement is subject to DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which establish the contractual framework governing vendor compliance, product specifications, and order fulfillment requirements. Vendors must acknowledge that failure to meet delivery schedules or perform according to contract provisions may result in rejection and default termination by the Authority.

The procurement documentation does not specify set-aside designations or restrictions limiting participation to disadvantaged enterprises, small businesses, or other protected classifications, suggesting that this opportunity is open to all qualified vendors capable of meeting DART's requirements. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation. Payment will be made on Net 30 terms, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing the purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals; payment is issued 30 days from invoice receipt or 30 days from order receipt, whichever is later unless alternative written arrangements have been negotiated. The specific award value or budget range for this procurement is not disclosed in the publicly available information; detailed specifications, quantities, and pricing requirements are accessible only through the Bonfire registration system upon initiating the submission preparation process.
