About this opportunity
The Arizona Department of Transportation is requesting bids for restoration of settled approach and anchor slabs on the Duval Mine Road overpass bridge crossing Interstate 19 at milepost 43.25 in Sahuarita, Pinal County, with bids due August 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Bidders must be prequalified with ADOT and registered on the project Plansholder List as prime contractors — a mandatory eligibility gate.
The scope includes restoring settled approach and anchor slabs on both sides of the overpass, removing and replacing concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, sidewalk ramps, and adjusting walkway pavers to pre-settlement elevations. Contract completion is required within 70 calendar days. The programmed contract amount is $950,000. This is a federal-aid highway construction project subject to prevailing wage requirements and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. During the transition period while the Arizona Unified Certification Program completes recertification under revised federal DBE rules effective October 3, 2025, ADOT will not set contract-specific DBE goals or count DBE participation toward its overall goal; however, contractors are encouraged to pursue DBE neutral efforts.
Bidders must submit a 10 percent electronic proposal guaranty payable to ADOT. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in 100 percent of the bid amount, along with an Insurance Certificate and Contract Agreement. All bidders must register in the Arizona Unified Transportation Registration and Certification System and submit a Bidders/Proposers List confirmation email to the Business Engagement and Compliance Office within four business days of bid opening. Questions regarding project documents must be submitted through the Bid Express website no later than three working days before bid opening. The Engineering Specialist assigned to the project is Mike Wechselberger. Contract documents are available electronically through the ADOT Contracts and Specifications Group website.
