About this opportunity

The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Office of State Procurement Services, is requesting quotations for one custom aluminum platform body to fit a 2027 Ford F-600 truck, with quotations due September 28, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time through the Advantage Vendor Self Service procurement system.

The platform body must fit a truck with a 169-inch wheelbase and 84-inch cab-to-axle measurement, with platform dimensions of 144 inches in length and 96 inches in width, not exceeding 102 inches overall width including grip-strut walkways. Construction must be 6061 T6 grade aluminum with extruded aluminum tongue-and-groove flooring capable of supporting 14,000 pounds continuously. The scope includes under-bed storage with fold-down hinged rear access, DOT-compliant LED lighting, hinged fold-down grip-strut walkways, and removable diamond plate toolboxes. Bidders must submit manufacture assembly drawings, warranty information, and equivalency documentation for any non-conforming specifications. Final assembly technical drawings require approval by the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife prior to assembly.

Quotations must be submitted on an FOB-Destination basis with all shipping charges included in the bid price. Delivery is to the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife in Augusta, Maine, with delivery expected immediately following order placement; however, funds will not be available until mid-November 2026, and official award will not occur until funds are confirmed. The State anticipates making one award and reserves the right to negotiate the purchase of additional units at the bid price for six months following award. Delivery timelines will factor into the award decision. The procurement will be awarded on a best value basis considering specification compliance, delivery timelines, and overall State interests, with the lowest-priced qualified bidder receiving preference. No BAFO process will be conducted. Questions are due 48 hours prior to the September 28 closure. The State anticipates paying invoices within net 30 days upon receipt of accurate and acceptable invoices.
