About this opportunity

The State of Maine, Division of Purchases, is requesting quotes for engine replacement, governor and propeller overhaul on Aircraft N5339N, with quotes due March 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. local time.

Quotes must be submitted electronically by the deadline, with supporting documentation permitted to be faxed or mailed prior to opening. Unit prices are required for each item unless otherwise specified. The State reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent and to reject any or all quotes.

Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value to Maine, evaluated on quality, conformity to specifications, purpose, delivery date, and ultimate cost. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in evaluation; discounts under 20 days will not. Bidders must specify definitive delivery terms; all transportation charges shall be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise noted. Contractors must furnish items exactly as specified and comply with the Maine Chemical Substance Identification Law by providing current material safety data sheets for hazardous chemicals.

The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes, and quotes should reflect these exemptions. Contractors warrant article fitness, quality, and merchantability, with defects remedied within one year of final acceptance. The Division reserves the right to inspect all articles and work post-delivery and to reject defective items or entire shipments if more than ten percent of sampled articles are defective, with rejected material returned at contractor expense. No purchase order or master agreement may be assigned, sublet, or transferred without written consent from the Director of Purchases. The contract is governed by Maine law, and disputes are decided solely by the Division.
