About this opportunity
The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for an air spring diaphragm component (Purchase Order 2098096) through a competitive procurement process. This is a goods procurement requiring vendors to provide the specified air spring diaphragm part to support DART's transit operations. Bidders must register in the BONFIRE system to access the complete project details and bidding table, where vendors will find specific technical specifications, quantities required, and detailed response fields. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and delivery schedules are critical to contract performance, with timely and rate-specified deliveries being essential contractual obligations. The procurement requires vendors to comply with merchantable quality standards and product specifications referenced in the purchase order, and all suppliers must hold the most favorable commercial warranties provided to any customer. The submission deadline is March 3, 2026, with the opportunity posted on February 24, 2026, providing vendors with approximately seven days to prepare and submit their bids through the BONFIRE registration and bidding process.
The solicitation documents do not explicitly identify specific set-asides, disadvantaged enterprise designations, or restrictions limiting participation to particular categories of vendors, indicating this appears to be an open competitive procurement available to qualified suppliers. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available procurement materials. Vendors selected for award must comply with DART's standard purchase order terms and conditions, including Net 30 payment terms, invoice submission requirements to APInvoices@dart.org in triplicate format, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. All vendors must certify non-affiliation with foreign terrorist organizations and compliance with non-boycott of Israel requirements. The specific award value or budget range for this air spring diaphragm procurement is not disclosed in the available documentation, though payment will be processed on a Net 30 basis from the later of invoice receipt or order receipt, with the Authority retaining rights to terminate for default or for convenience as warranted.
