About this opportunity

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), a component of the Maryland Department of Transportation, is requesting proposals to upgrade its existing video surveillance systems and migrate from an Aralia Video Management System to a Genetec enterprise platform under RFP Contract No. T-8000-1516, with proposals due January 15, 2027.

The scope encompasses replacement of all Aralia on-site servers and network video recorders across MTA sites with hardware supporting the Genetec Enterprise VMS, including equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and certification. The upgrade will expand the existing Genetec Pilot Program infrastructure and configure the system as an enterprise solution. Vendors must demonstrate expertise in Aralia decommissioning and Genetec enterprise VMS deployment, including proficiency in hardware configuration, network integration, and system certification. The project is funded through the Homeland Security Surveillance Program, which originally established the existing video surveillance systems at MTA facilities.

Offerors are required to submit an Assumptions Matrix as part of their proposal, documenting all assumptions made during proposal development and referencing specific RFP sections and items. This ensures transparency and helps prevent contract disputes arising from differing interpretations of project requirements.

No estimated contract value, contract term, or set-aside or preference program is identified in the source materials. Questions due date and pre-proposal meeting or site visit information are not specified.
