About this opportunity
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division is seeking qualified suppliers to provide agriculture water meter installation, repair, and replacement services through an electronic Request for Quotes (eRFQ) issued under the State Purchasing Act. The procurement will involve approximately 1,000 meters per year, with multiple vendors to be awarded one-year contracts that may be renewed annually up to four times. Prospective bidders must be registered in TEAM GEORGIA MARKETPLACE to view the complete RFQ, submit bids electronically, and access mandatory requirements detailed in the attachment section. All questions must be submitted in writing via email to Elizabeth Alexander at elizabeth.alexander@dnr.ga.gov, with the bid submission deadline set for August 28, 2025. Bidders are advised to regularly review the RFQ during the solicitation period for potential addenda or answers to submitted questions, and can seek technical assistance from the procurement help desk at procurementhelp@doas.ga.gov or by calling 404-657-6000.
While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly mentioned in the document, the procurement process is open to qualified suppliers who can meet the technical and operational requirements for agriculture meter services. The State Entity does not guarantee a minimum number of meter orders to awarded suppliers, indicating potential variability in contract utilization. Interested vendors must navigate the TEAM GEORGIA MARKETPLACE system, carefully review all attachments, and ensure compliance with the eRFQ instructions. The contract structure allows for multiple awards, suggesting the state seeks to establish a diverse pool of qualified service providers for meter installation, repair, and replacement. Potential vendors should be prepared to demonstrate technical capabilities, reliability, and the ability to handle approximately 1,000 meter-related service events annually across the state of Georgia.
