About this opportunity

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Southwest District is seeking to establish a multiple-award price agreement for plant/quarry pickup of various aggregate materials. The procurement is specifically for the pickup of aggregate materials by MoDOT SW staff and trucks from vendor quarries on an as-needed basis, covering the period from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024, with two potential one-year renewal options. This invitation for bid (IFB605SW24000795) requires vendors to submit pricing per ton for aggregate materials, with sand potentially priced by the load, using an provided Excel spreadsheet format. Vendors will be selected based on factors including cost, availability, and proximity to project locations, with MoDOT reserving the right to add new aggregate types and suppliers during the contract term. The bid response period runs from October 31, 2023, to November 30, 2023, at 9:00 AM CST, with electronic submissions accepted through the MissouriBUYS Statewide eProcurement System or as hard copy submissions. Pricing must remain firm for the original contract period, with potential price adjustments allowed during renewal periods.

The solicitation encourages participation from Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women Business Enterprises (WBE), with recommended participation goals of 10% MBE and 5% WBE. Service-Disabled Veteran (SDV) businesses may receive preference, and vendors must maintain adequate liability insurance and be registered with the Missouri Secretary of State and Department of Revenue. The bid allows for cooperative purchasing opportunities for Missouri counties, cities, and other political entities. Vendors must provide comprehensive invoicing that includes the MoDOT truck number, location organization number, and the name of the MoDOT employee picking up the material. While no specific contract value is listed, the multiple-award structure suggests flexibility in vendor selection and potential contract volume. Vendors must comply with various state requirements, including Buy American provisions for purchases over $25,000 and anti-discrimination certifications for contracts exceeding $100,000. Payment terms are set at Net 30 days, with invoices to be submitted to SWInvoices@modot.mo.gov.

Opportunity text

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Southwest (SW) District is seeking to establish a price agreement with multiple vendors for the plant/quarry pickup of various aggregate materials from various quarries by MoDOT SW staff and trucks on an 'as needed/if needed' basis beginning January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024, with two (2) one-year renewals. This bid is for pick-up price only, NOT delivery; however, there is a delivery question included in bid. When materials are needed, MoDOT SW will use this price agreement to choose a vendor based on factors such as cost, availability, and project proximity to the plant location. This bid will be awarded on a "multiple award" basis.
