The scope covers comprehensive janitorial maintenance of approximately 7,855 square feet at 600 North Santa Cruz Avenue, Los Gatos, California. Services include daily high-touch surface disinfection and restroom cleaning, weekly spot dusting and storage space cleaning, biweekly floor finish application, quarterly blind and light fixture cleaning, semi-annual blind washing and window cleaning, and annual carpet extraction and floor stripping. The contractor must provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and travel.
The contract term is 36 months with a proposed start date of September 1, 2026 or upon contract approval. Contract cost is TBD and will be invoiced monthly based on services rendered with pro-rata reductions for missed work days. Bidders must comply with Government Code Section 19134, which mandates a minimum hourly rate of $38.06 for janitors including wages and blended benefits. The Displaced Janitor Opportunity Act requires retention of prior contractor janitors for 60 days. The Property Service Workers Protection Act requires Department of Industrial Relations registration. Bidders must provide workers' compensation and employer liability insurance with limits of at least $1 million and commercial general liability insurance with combined bodily injury and property damage limits of at least $1 million per occurrence. Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference is required for bid eligibility. Bids must be submitted via email to DMVBIDS@dmv.ca.gov in non-fillable PDF format with all required documents.
