About this opportunity

This state and local contract opportunity is for the structural investigation and repair of the farmhouse at Dudley Farm Historic State Park in Alachua County, Florida. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is issuing this addendum to the original bid solicitation, which has the bid number BDC28-22/23. The addendum addresses a question from a bidder regarding the use of an alternate epoxy grout and foundation stabilization material provider, as the specified manufacturer, Masteroc, indicated that the project may be too small for their services. The DEP contacted the manufacturer's representative, who stated that their product is used on both large and small projects, and recommended that contractors use the specified product unless they can prove that an alternate product is equal or better. The addendum also states that, aside from this clarification, all other contract documents remain in full force and effect.

The contract opportunity does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The incumbent vendor or current contractor is not identified, nor is any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The award value or budget range is also not provided in the available materials. The bid submission deadline is May 8, 2023, but the contract duration and any renewal options are not detailed.

Signature of Contractor and Date

The Following statements supersede & supplement the corresponding items in the specifications & drawings:

  1. Question: Will the Consultant/Engineer of Record consider a alternate Epoxy grout and foundation stabilization material provider.? The specified material and installer Masteroc states that the project is to small for them. They typically provide services for mining and tunneling concerns.
  • Answer: We contacted the manufacturer's representative of the grout product in the design, they stated that the size of the project will not be an issue. Their product is used on both large and small projects. We recommend the contractors use what has been specified unless there is sufficient reason to change suppliers. If the specified basis of design is not used then the product to be used must be proven to be equal or better than the basis of design product.

In all other respects, the contract documents of which this is an Addendum, and attachments relative thereto, shall remain in full force and effect.
