About this opportunity
The St. Johns River Water Management District (the "District") is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to request bid submittals from qualified and experienced contract laboratories to provide information about their procedures for analyzing organic substances and metals in various matrices, including water, sediment, and biota, to aid the District's efforts to restore the Indian River Lagoon. The District will provide clean samples for the initial sampling, which will focus on sediments, but information for analyses of water and biota is also requested to guide future sampling. The estimated budget for the initial sampling is $79,000.00. Bids are due by 2:00 p.m. on May 3, 2023, and will be opened publicly on the same date. The District is seeking the lowest responsive, responsible bidder who demonstrates the necessary skill, ability, integrity, and reliability to perform the work. The District reserves the right to increase, decrease, or delete any class, item, or part of the work to reduce costs, and may discuss alternatives with bidders.
The District is committed to providing opportunities for diversity in its procurement activities and encourages bidders to make good faith efforts to include women and minority-owned businesses as subcontractors. While no incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed, the District may have existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The available budget for this procurement is $79,000.00.
