About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for an Actuator, Subassembly, Pantograph (Part Number 2098909) through a competitive procurement process. This purchase order opportunity is subject to DART's standard Terms and Conditions, which establish the legal and operational framework governing vendor performance and engagement. The solicitation requires vendors to submit bids that reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Delivery time and rate are deemed essential to the contract, with seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination by the Authority. Invoices must be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and shall include the purchase order number, item number, description of supplies, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. The bid submission deadline is April 28, 2026, with registration on the BONFIRE platform required to access complete project details and the bidding table. Payment terms are established at Net 30, calculated from either receipt of the invoice or receipt of the order, whichever is later.

The procurement documents do not specify set-aside designations or restrictions limiting participation to particular categories of vendors or disadvantaged enterprises. No incumbent vendor information or current contractor details are provided in the available solicitation materials. The supporting documentation does not disclose a specific award value or budget range for this procurement. All bids and resulting purchase orders are governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County, and DART is exempt from Texas state and local sales and use taxes. Vendors are required to comply with standard commercial warranty requirements ensuring merchantable quality and compliance with specifications, as well as certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycott compliance. Additional details regarding quantities, specifications, and technical requirements are accessible through the in-browser BidTable window upon initiation of the "Prepare Your Submission" process on the BONFIRE registration platform.
