About this opportunity

The State of Maine Military Bureau is requesting sealed bids on heating control components for the Stevens Avenue Armory in Portland under Bid #10-049, with bids due June 23, 2010. No substitutions are permitted; bidders must quote the exact specified components.

The scope comprises three Honeywell heating control items with no flexibility: 55 Thermostatic Radiator Actuators (T100B1035 Remote Sensor, 1 3/16" collar diameter), 23 Angle Pattern 3/4" Radiator Valves (Model V110E1012), and 31 Angle Pattern 1" Radiator Valves (Model V110E1020). Unit pricing is required for each line item; delivery costs may be included separately. All materials must be delivered to the State of Maine Military Bureau at Camp Keyes Building #8, 194 Winthrop Street, Augusta, Maine 04330, with prior coordination required through David Pelletier (207-626-7848 or 207-557-2011).

The state applies an in-state preference: awards prioritize Maine bidders and commodities produced or manufactured in Maine when price, quality, availability, and other factors are equal. The state reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent. Transportation charges must be prepaid unless otherwise specified. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in determining the low bidder; shorter discounts will not factor into the award decision. The state is exempt from federal and state sales and use taxes and must be quoted accordingly. Bidders are required to provide current Material Safety Data Sheets for any hazardous chemicals under Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law.
