About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of an actuator with a locking lever for Fleet 50 and 51 vehicles, referenced as E140874 and identified by item number 2098249. This purchase order procurement requires vendors to submit bids through the BONFIRE registration system, with a deadline of March 18, 2026. All bids must reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, and delivery schedules are critical to contract performance, as failure to meet specified delivery timelines constitutes grounds for rejection and default termination. The procurement is governed by DART's comprehensive Purchase Order Terms and Conditions, which mandate that invoices be submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org and include essential information such as purchase order number, item description, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Payment will be issued on Net 30 terms calculated from the later of invoice receipt or purchase order receipt. Vendors must provide commercial warranties ensuring merchantable quality and suitability for intended use, and the contract is governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County.

The solicitation documents do not explicitly identify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, incumbent vendors, or specific award values or budget ranges. However, all sellers must certify non-involvement with foreign terrorist organizations and non-participation in boycotts of Israel, as required by the contracting authority. The Contracting Officer retains the right to terminate for default or convenience, with default termination exposing sellers to liability for excess costs associated with reprocurement. Equal opportunity and non-discrimination requirements apply throughout contract performance. Interested vendors should access the complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document available in the Supporting Documentation section and initiate the "Prepare Your Submission" process to review the in-browser BidTable for detailed project specifications and vendor response fields.

In such event, the Seller shall be liable for damages, including the excess cost of reprocuring similar supplies or services or completing construction; provided that, if (i) it is determined for any reason that the Seller was not in default, or (ii) the Seller's failure to perform is without his and his subcontractor's control, fault, or negligence, the termination shall be deemed to be a termination for convenience under paragraph 12. As used in this provision, the term "subcontractor" and "subcontractors" means subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers at any level.
