About this opportunity

The Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles is soliciting bids for pest control service at its Tuscaloosa Field Office and Diversion and Restitution (DRC) facility, with bids due September 28, 2026 and a mandatory site visit on September 23, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. Attendance at the site visit is a prerequisite to bid submission and must be documented on a sign-in sheet.

The scope covers pest control service across two locations totaling 14,400 square feet: the Tuscaloosa Field Office (Unit 100) at 220 14th Street and the Tuscaloosa DRC (Unit 150). Service is to begin October 1, 2026. The Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles intends to establish a multi-year agreement with the maximum contract term determined at award based on pricing and anticipated usage, with an option for annual renewal for up to five years from the contract effective date.

The total cost is not to exceed $25,000 over the contract life, including the original agreement and any subsequent renewals. The awarding agency will consider its budget constraints when processing the award to ensure compliance with budgetary limitations.

Suppliers must be registered in Alabama Buys and submit responses electronically through that system. The State reserves the right to request written proof of pest control certifications and proof of insurance. All suppliers must comply with Alabama state procurement laws, including E-Verify enrollment verification, sales tax exemption certification, and the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act. Electronic payment methods must be accepted at no additional cost to the State. Pricing analysis may be conducted based on cost realism and price reasonableness at the sole discretion of the Chief Procurement Officer.
